April Metivier
President
April Metivier is the President of System One’s Telecommunications organization, Mountain Ltd. Based in the Portland, Maine area, she has propelled the organization to national leadership in engineering solutions and project management within the telecommunications industry.
Having joined Mountain in 2000, April’s journey from technical recruiter to president has been marked by significant contributions to the organization’s growth and recognition. Her leadership has guided the company through acquisitions, continuous revenue growth, and prestigious accolades, including six consecutive years as one of the Best Places to Work. April’s commitment to quality extends beyond Mountain as she actively serves telecommunications and staffing industry organizations, receiving accolades such as the “Special Service Award” from the Telephone Association of New England. She has also served as the President of the Board of the Northern New England Association of Personnel Services for two terms.
A graduate of Emory University with a double major in Psychology and Spanish, April Metivier combines academic excellence with hands-on industry experience, solidifying her role as a key leader in the telecommunications sector.
Steve Sanborn
VP, Business Integration
Steve serves as the Vice President of Business Integration at Mountain Ltd. In this role, his primary objective is to foster collaboration across all divisions, aimed at delivering efficient solutions for clients and internal stakeholders alike. Steve’s journey with Mountain began in 2013 as a member of the Business Development Team, where he swiftly discovered his passion for identifying client-centric solutions and implementing them across the Mountain landscape.
Steve graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and is a retired member of the United States Army Reserve. Outside of his professional endeavors, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter tackling escape rooms or exploring the Maine Coast. Additionally, he is actively involved in fundraising and advocacy efforts for charitable organizations, notably the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Make-A-Wish.
Kirstin Huyser
VP, Operations
As the Vice President of Operations at Mountain Ltd., Kirstin Huyser leverages customer-driven objectives to deliver effective solutions in the dynamic telecommunications landscape. Her authentic connection with clients, partners, and staff underscores her success in fostering productive relationships.
With a career spanning over 16 years at Mountain, Kirstin advanced from Telecom Operations Manager to Director of Operations and currently holds the position of Vice President of Operations. She has led several teams throughout her tenure at Mountain and has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth.
Kirstin is a graduate of the University of Maine, with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and a minor in Psychology. Beginning her professional career with State Farm Insurance as an auto claims adjuster, followed by personal lines producer, Kirstin gained experience in building customer relationships and handling high-pressure situations. Her educational background, coupled with her hands-on experience, has equipped her with a holistic approach to leadership.
Adam Cummiskey
VP, Project Services
As the Vice President of Project Services at Mountain Ltd., Adam has been an invaluable member of our team since joining in 2006. His journey within the company is a testament to his exceptional leadership skills and unwavering dedication. Starting as a Recruiter, Adam steadily progressed through various operational roles, including Account Manager and Team Manager, before attaining his current position as Vice President of Project Services.
In this role, Adam plays a pivotal part in ensuring the success of our projects nationwide. He oversees the management of our IT team, collaborating closely with our operations to provide them with the necessary tools and resources. Behind the scenes, Adam adeptly handles a multitude of financial and operational tasks, ensuring seamless execution of major corporate projects and conducting thorough analysis and budgeting to drive efficiency.
Adam’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Southern Maine. Outside of work, Adam finds joy in spending quality time with his wife and son, indulging in his passion for travel, and playing his collection of guitars.
Daniel Constance
VP, Engineering
As the Vice President of Engineering for Mountain Ltd., Dan Constance holds the crucial responsibility of overseeing the organizational execution and business strategy for the national engineering team. Dan’s leadership strengths lie in his ability to unify people and processes, ensuring client deliverables are achieved with high quality and in a timely manner.
Before joining Mountain, Dan accumulated 23 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, primarily with CenturyLink Communications. Throughout his tenure, he demonstrated exceptional leadership across all facets of engineering, including planning, fielding, and design for both inside and outside plant operations. Dan also served as the Director of Construction/Engineering and managed the cable repair call center (LRAC).
Dan is a third-generation graduate of Arizona State University, holding a Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering. His passion for his alma mater shines through as a dedicated Sun Devil enthusiast who enjoys attending live sports events. Outside of work, Dan’s commitment to sports extends to coaching club and high school soccer for over two decades. This competitive spirit also fuels his enthusiasm for game nights with family and friends.
Don Hartzog
VP, Strategic Development
Don Hartzog serves as the Vice President of Strategic Development at Mountain Ltd. With almost 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Don has primarily focused on deploying broadband networks nationwide. He is widely recognized as a subject matter expert in network architecture and deployment strategies, particularly in addressing complex deployment challenges.
In his current role, Don collaborates with clients to identify their needs and leads efforts to plan, design, and deploy efficient and cost-effective fiber optic networks. Additionally, he actively contributes to expanding Mountain’s service platform capabilities by exploring potential acquisitions and partnerships.
Prior to joining Mountain, Don held leadership positions with prominent companies such as Lumen Technologies and Ziply Fiber, where he played integral roles in deploying fiber optic networks to nearly a million homes. Based in Spokane, Washington, Don holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University.
Outside of work, Don enjoys spending leisure time boating and indulging in glamping adventures with his wife Cheryl. Additionally, he maintains an active lifestyle by playing ice hockey multiple times a week.
Brent Lamb
VP, Engineering
Brent Lamb serves as the Vice President of Engineering for the East Division, bringing with him a wealth of experience garnered over his impressive 27-year career in the industry. His journey began in the United States Air Force, where he served for four years before transitioning to Qwest/CenturyLink, where he spent the next 18 ½ years.
During his tenure at Qwest/CenturyLink, Brent held various positions within the Operations and Engineering/Construction departments, including Lead Operation Tech, Central Office Tech, Supervisor, and Senior Manager of Engineering/Construction. Subsequently, he assumed the role of Senior Operations Manager at NebraskaLink before ultimately joining Mountain Ltd.
Brent’s passion for leadership and technical projects has been a driving force throughout his career, spanning nearly two decades. He has played a pivotal role in connecting the country with fiber infrastructure, contributing significantly to the industry’s growth and development.
In terms of education, Brent holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Amberton University, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, an Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, and a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
Born in Nebraska and raised in an Army family across various locations in the country, Brent has developed a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and experiences. Outside of work, he finds joy in watching football games, particularly if the weather allows for him to fire up his smoker and hone his culinary skills. An avid supporter of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Kansas City Chiefs, Brent also enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending quality time with his family. His outdoor pursuits include hunting, fishing, and embarking on trips to remote locations with family and friends to disconnect from technology and immerse themselves in nature. Additionally, Brent is actively involved in the Knights of Columbus and dedicates his time to volunteering in the community.
Kevin Keeler
VP, Engineering
Kevin Keeler serves as the Vice President of Engineering for the South Division at Mountain Ltd., a division of System One. He joined the company in 2019 as the Director of Engineering, tasked with expanding the engineering team and overseeing large-scale builds for clients. Due to his success in both areas, Kevin was subsequently promoted to Regional Vice President to continue delivering exceptional results at the national level. Leveraging his extensive engineering background and organizational acumen, he continues to build and adapt teams to meet the evolving needs of clients.
Before joining Mountain, Kevin dedicated 20 years to the telecommunications industry at Centurylink. Throughout his tenure, he held various roles, but his passion always lay in engineering and team leadership. This experience provided him with comprehensive knowledge across all aspects of OSP and ISP engineering, as well as construction and operations. Kevin discovered that he thrived in the fast-paced and complex environment of the telecom industry, further enhancing his expertise and leadership skills.
Outside of work Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, usually outdoors, coaching on the soccer field, camping, hiking or on a ski hill.
Chris Lee
Director of Wireless
Chris Lee serves as Director of Wireless at Mountain Ltd. In his role he oversees our Wireless Division focused on aggressive site development and rapid network deployment for all major wireless carriers. With over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Chris has developed diverse expertise in various leadership roles responsible for the execution and success of large-scale site acquisition and engineering projects across the nation.
Chris joined Mountain in 2022 and has revolutionized the wireless division, driving down operating costs, improving client relationships, and expanding wireless services to a national footprint. For Chris, every day is an opportunity to mentor and guide his team through the competitive world of wireless with dedication and enthusiasm. He is consistently delivering outstanding results with his carefully handpicked team of industry professionals. His commitment to leveraging their knowledge and skills has driven Mountain’s growth to unprecedented levels.
As a graduate from the Tampa Technical Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management Technology, Chris applies his background and education to drive success in every facet of his career. Originally from Land O’ Lakes, Florida, Chris has always had a deep appreciation for outdoor activities and watersports. He loves spending time out on the water boating with family and friends, hitting the beach, and enjoying all the amenities Central Florida has to offer.
Michelle Banville
Senior Director of Pay/Bill
Michelle Banville has been a dedicated Senior Director of Pay/Bill at Mountain Ltd. since 2008. With a strong commitment to excellence and a wealth of experience in financial management, Michelle plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of payments and bills within the organization.
Michelle is a proud alumna of the University of Maine in Augusta, where she honed her skills and knowledge in finance and management. Her professional journey includes a notable tenure as the Payroll/HR Manager at VIP Parts, Tires, and Services from 1994 to 2008, where she gained valuable expertise in financial operations.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Michelle finds joy in spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her passion extends to the realm of creative arts, where she indulges in crafts like stained glass and quilting. This multifaceted approach to life reflects her dedication to both professional excellence and a fulfilling personal life.
Rindi Yerxa
Pay/Bill Supervisor
Rindi Yerxa is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as the Pay/Bill Supervisor at Mountain Ltd., where she has worked since 2005. While studying public relations and business at the University of West Florida, her passion for numbers emerged, redirecting her career trajectory towards the dynamic field of finance. Armed with her academic background and an innate aptitude for financial matters, her journey has been marked by a commitment to excellence and a keen eye for detail, ensuring the seamless execution of pay and billing processes within the finance department at Mountain. Beyond her professional endeavors, Rindi values her time spent with family and strives to strike a harmonious balance between work and personal life. This dedication to maintaining a strong connection with loved ones underscores her commitment to holistic well-being and enriches her perspective on both professional and personal fronts.
Nicole Jones
Director of Operations
Nicole Jones serves as Director of Operations for Mountain Ltd., managing recruiting, account support, employee support and onboarding teams. In addition, Nicole oversees company marketing initiatives.
Since joining Mountain Ltd. in 2016, Nicole has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to making a meaningful impact for employees, fostering development and engagement. Her leadership style is characterized by her dedication to empowering teams and driving results to meet both company and client needs.
With past experience as a Senior Recruiter specializing in telecom engineering, she brings a wealth of hands-on expertise to her leadership role.
Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, especially on camping adventures together. She loves watching ice hockey and actively competes with her Quarter Horses in the Northeast.
