About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Remote Project-Based Aramis Design Engineer to support specialized outside plant (OSP) and fiber design projects using the Aramis design platform. This role is ideal for a telecom design professional who thrives on project work, has strong CAD/OSP design expertise, and can quickly adapt to client-specific standards and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Aramis Design Production: Create and refine OSP fiber network designs in Aramis based on engineering standards, permitting requirements, and construction specifications.
- Data & Mapping Integration: Import and manage GIS, CAD, and field survey data to produce accurate design packages.
- Engineering Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and permitting teams to ensure designs meet schedule, quality, and compliance requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough self-checks and peer reviews to maintain accuracy and completeness of all deliverables.
- Documentation & Reporting: Generate bills of material, splice diagrams, and other required construction documents for client approval.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in OSP fiber design with hands-on use of the Aramis platform (required).
- Strong understanding of telecom engineering standards, pole loading, make-ready considerations, and permitting requirements.
- Proficiency with GIS/CAD tools and related mapping/data management software.
- Ability to work independently on fast-paced, deadline-driven projects.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred
- Prior experience with major telecom carriers or fiber network deployment programs.
- Knowledge of permitting processes and construction sequencing.
- Ability to provide design guidance to fielding crews
