Job Description
The Permitting Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the permitting process for telecommunications projects throughout Ohio. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, coordinates with regulatory agencies, and leads cross-functional teams to deliver approvals on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all aspects of project permitting from initiation through approval.
• Develop permitting strategies, timelines, and budgets to support project schedules.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and government agencies.
• Prepare, review, and submit permitting applications and supporting documentation.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with applicable laws and codes.
• Resolve permitting issues, delays, or compliance concerns.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with agencies, municipalities, and community stakeholders.
• Oversee and mentor permitting coordinators or support staff.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, planning, or related field.(preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in permitting, project management, or related roles in Ohio.
• Strong knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and land use requirements.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
