Position Overview
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving new business growth by identifying, engaging, and securing contracts with property owners, managers, and businesses for the deployment of fiber internet services. This role combines relationship-building, consultative sales, and field engagement to expand fiber network access across multi-dwelling units (MDUs), commercial properties, and residential communities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Conduct on-site visits to meet with property owners, managers, and business stakeholders to promote the benefits of fiber connectivity.
- Present fiber service solutions, ROI benefits, and partnership opportunities using professional sales materials and proposals.
- Negotiate and secure Right-of-Entry (ROE) or Service Agreements in coordination with internal legal and project management teams.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals for signed contracts and service commitments.
Coordination & Reporting
- Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to validate property eligibility, construction feasibility, and installation timelines.
- Log all sales activity, meetings, and property updates within CRM or project tracking systems
- Provide weekly status updates and pipeline forecasts to the Sales Director or Project Manager.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in outside sales, preferably within telecommunications, broadband, or technology sectors.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a field-based role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present technical solutions in a simple and persuasive manner.
- Experience negotiating contracts and working with property management or real estate professionals.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Right-of-Entry (ROE) and fiber infrastructure agreements.
- Knowledge of fiber optic networks, broadband technologies, and MDU environments.
- Experience using CRM tools for activity tracking and reporting.
