Karen joined MOUNTAIN in March of 2008 as a Recruiter/Account Manager for our Vendor Management System (VMS) Team, and now she serves as VMS Staffing Operations Manager.
As Operations Manager for the VMS team, Karen’s primary responsibilities are to oversee the placement of contractors in a variety of administrative and operational positions for our financial and insurance industry clients. She also ensures the team provides excellent on-time service delivery, performance monitoring, reporting and other key metrics to serve our client’s human resource and staffing needs.  
Karen enjoys interacting with clients and candidates, and having the opportunity to match qualified candidates with the right employment situation for both them and the client.
MOUNTAIN awards its top achievers, and Karen has received her share of accolades. In 2008, 2009 and 2010, she received “Employee of the Month” awards, and in 2009 and 2010, she received awards for the “Highest Number of Contract Placements”. In 2010, Karen also received the distinguished, “Employee of the Year” award.
Karen received her Bachelors degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, and has held her Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist (CTS) designation from the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS) since 2008.
Karen grew up in Freeport, ME.  and married her high school sweetheart, Gary.  They now live in Brunswick and have two boys, Tyler and Cotey, plus a cat named Rogue who Karen says pretty much rules the house. In their spare time, Karen and her family enjoy camping, four wheeling and riding their fully restored 1973 FLH Harley Davidson.
